It is narrated that the Prophet Muhammad said: “Allah, the Exalted said, ‘Spend, O son of Adam, and Allah will spend on you.” (Al-Bukhari and Muslim)
Do you know that Prophet Muhammad was a most charitable person, and during the Month of Ramadan, he was the extremely charitable?
During Ramadan, Allah SWT increases reward and blessing upon His Servants. The Prophet (SAW) adopted this practice of charity.
SubhanAllah!
This means, of course, that being charitable is the Sunnah!
We should spend from our wealth, especially during Ramadan.
Prophet Muhammad said: “The most virtuous Sadaqah (voluntary charity) is the Sadaqah in Ramadan” (Kanz ul Ammaal).
~
The Prophet said: “Saum (Fasting) is a Junnah (Shield), and Sadaqah extinguishes sin, just as water extinguishes fire.”
~
Even if we don’t have wealth in the form of money, we can always be charitable. A smile towards your fellow Muslim, greeting your fellow Muslim properly, providing dates or even just a sip of water to someone breaking their fast, moving something harmful from a path, helping someone in their time of need…..all forms of charity.
SubhanAllah.
The Prophet said: “Avoid Hellfire, even by a part of a date (that you give away in charity). (Al-Bukhari and Muslim).
There are 10 good qualities in Sadaqah, five in this life, and five in the Hereafter.
The five for this life are:
1. Sadaqah cleanses the money
2. Sadaqah cleanses the body from sins
3. Sadaqah repels disasters and illnesses
4. Sadaqah brings happiness to the poor
5. Sadaqah brings blessings to the wealth and increase in the provisions: “And whatsoever you spend of anything (in Allah’s Cause), He will replace it.” (34:39).
The five for the Hereafter are:
1. Sadaqah shades its giver from the intense heat on the Day of Judgement
2. Sadaqah makes one’s reckoning lighter
3. Sadaqah makes one’s scale of good deeds heavier.
4. Sadaqah helps cross over the bridge of the Hellfire
5. Sadaqah elevates one’s grade in Paradise.

This year, one of the charities that I will support, Insha’Allah, is called: Love for Humanity.
The charity was created by a young Muslim sister when she heard about the living conditions and educational conditions of young sisters in a very poor area of Pakistan.
The following is information on the charity:
This fund has been created to help raise funds and awareness of young students who live in a very poor area of Pakistan, Insha’Allah.
The majority of the students are teenage girls who get their fees from Zakat donations. Fees start from 100 euro for a whole year for which girls are given very basic accommodations.
These accommodations often include sleeping in clustered halls on the floor and given very basic meals, typically watery dal. The living conditions are not good. They have little access to medicines and often suffer from head lice and other ailments.
Subhan’Allah, many of the girls are orphaned and they are so grateful for the opportunity to attend this school.
This is their ONLY means of education! They have no other options!
Sadaqa from this effort will also go towards helping to build a suitable classroom.
I know the sisters and brothers always are willing to help especially in the west, Insha’Allah.
We can make a difference, Insha’Allah! Take this opportunity to accumulate your good deeds! Donations of any amount would be so helpful.
Your donation will help provide the following:
Medicines, First Aid items, School Supplies, and other necessary living items.
~~
Won’t you join me in supporting these young sisters, Insha’Allah?
Your sadaqah will not go unnoticed by Allah SWT.
Visit the following site, Insha’Allah. Any amount will go so far in helping these girls.
